Day 11 ~ Worship

Mark 12:30 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”

We show our love for the Lord by the way we worship. Worship differs for everyone. Our preferences depend greatly on how we were raised as well as our own unique personalities. My favorite form of worship is through music. My radio is set to K-Love or The Message 99% of the time because it just helps me remain constant in God’s truth. He speaks to me through music. I share songs here frequently with my messages because it represents my love for God in a way that I cannot speak or write.

The way you worship might be different. You might sing, kneel, raise your hands, play an instrument or you might prefer to sit quietly meditating. I listen to music and sing to myself or loudly in church…(thankfully nobody can hear me because it is very loud there! 😉 ). It flows through my body and I can never get enough. I actually attended two church services today because the first one was so beautiful that I craved more! I actually worshipped in two different states today! That was a first for me but you know what? I am not ashamed to admit that I need more Jesus in my life.

Worshipping and sharing here is one thing…but I know I need to be doing MORE THAN THIS. My journey is just beginning. We are all in different places on our walks with God. Some of you might not believe at all. Some of you might not believe but are curiously seeking the truth. Some of you might believe and are a little ways down your path with a lot farther to go (like me).

Our Pastor said this today…”If you’re not able to be awed by what is awesome, that is poverty of your own soul.” That quote will stick with me for a very long time. Wherever you are…I pray that you find what works for you. He deserves our praise. I am in awe.

Philippians 2:9-11 “Therefore God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Without You, I am nothing.

Blessings,
