17 Days of Summer ~ Day 2

Today has been a day of accomplishment, celebration, and relaxation. I FINALLY completed a project I have been working on for a couple of months. It is printed and ready to go and I am happy with the finished product. I will be attending a Christian women’s conference this week where I will be sharing my work, and I will be in the presence of about 800 other women who are on a similar mission as me. I KNOW this will be a life changing experience and I am not even there yet! I cannot wait!!!

I met a good friend for a late lunch. We had a fun visit and I felt more relaxed than I have felt in a very long time. The massage I had Thursday was nice! The concert I attended last night was AMAZING! But the feeling of accomplishment I had this morning after completing my project was like a 100 pound weight had been lifted off of my shoulders! I feel as if I can continue on with life now…only moving forward.

I submitted a travel article to a contest last week just for fun. I am going to be sharing a biography for someone here very soon. And I am in the midst of writing my memoir. Having a creative outlet and focus has been my therapy and is now my purpose! In the past when people asked me what I enjoyed doing for fun most of the time I really had to stop and think about it. I really had no idea. I don’t have to think anymore.

If you are seeking your purpose in life…think about the things that bring you most joy…those things will lead you to your purpose. Write them down if it helps. I have found that true joy comes from the things we do for others. When we are able to bless someone else, we become blessed. It is pretty awesome how that works! 🙂 Maybe you enjoy volunteering time at a nursing home. Maybe you enjoy tutoring children. Maybe you enjoy volunteering at church or a school. Maybe your heart is set on mission and you desire to donate your time in another country teaching, giving medical aide, or spreading the word of God. Maybe you enjoy writing like me…if so, do it! Just do something. Do things until you figure out what your “thing” is…that is kind of what happened to me. It took me a while.

Just do not give up. You have a purpose!

And most importantly, don’t forget to have fun!

HAPPY SATURDAY!!!
