When leaving for a 12 day trip…when do you begin packing? The night before of course!!! Honestly though…I have traveled quite a bit in the past and at this point it is like clockwork. I finished in about an hour once I got started. I am about to embark on a journey of a lifetime and I couldn’t be more excited!
My journey will be divided into three parts.
Part 1 – SheSpeaks 2015 Christian women’s writers/speakers conference hosted by Proverbs 31 Ministries. I have been planning for this event for several months and I cannot believe it is already here! I am so ready to embrace this experience and learn and grow from it. I KNOW something special is about to happen and I feel extremely blessed to have this opportunity! I will share more as I go…
Part 2 – My fly by the seat of my pants 5 day adventure! I am planning to do some sightseeing and some soul searching. I have not had a real vacation since September of last year and my brain is in need of a break. I have a couple of very cool locations mapped out where I plan to stop and just relax for a couple of days. I might see a good friend from college along the way as well.
Part 3 – A family wedding in PA. My niece is getting married and I am going to be seeing a lot of family I have not seen for a very long time and I am very excited about that! There is supposed to be a pig roast and I am not sure what to think about that but I guarantee it will be fun a fun weekend!
I mapped out my journey and if all goes as planned I will have traveled about 2,200 miles by the time I return home on August 2nd. Now that is a ROAD TRIP!!!! #drivingbytheseatofmypants
I had lunch today with my sweet friend…thank you miss DD for my sandwich! And as always for the conversation. You have become a dear friend to me and I so appreciate your encouragement and words of wisdom. We are going to sit on that patio when I return and celebrate. Just because! 🙂
I treated myself to a manicure after work because, well I desperately needed it! Sometimes I forget to pamper myself because I just get too busy or too lazy. Something simple as having my nails done can be such and uplifting thing though. We only have this one life…NOW is the time to live it. Don’t save the good dishes for special occasions. Use them NOW! Don’t wait to book that vacation. Book it NOW! Don’t wait to go back to school at a better time. Go back NOW! Don’t wait to go visit that old friend or family member. Go see them NOW! And if your cuticles are messed up…get that manicure NOW! 😉
We are not guaranteed tomorrow. I cannot explain into words the urgency I feel about time and how little of it we actually have here. Everyday is a blessing. Take that chance that might scare the heck out of you just thinking about it. You never know what you are capable of until you try. Whatever you have been putting off to do at a better time…find a way to do it NOW! I KNOW money can hold us back to a degree but depending on what “it” is…you can always find a way. When you have something in your heart and you pray about it, God will answer your prayers one way or another. He cannot answer if you do not ask though. Ask Him NOW!
God has been answering a lot of prayers for me lately. I am praying for a safe journey tomorrow and for the rest of my trip. As well as for the rest of the women traveling from all around the country to attend. I am also praying for family members who are traveling next weekend. And finally, I am praying for you. If you are reading this…I feel there is a reason you are following me here. I appreciate you and I pray that whatever you are struggling with right now, God will get you through it.
