Ephesians 5:14 This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
I was asleep for the longest time. It is a miracle to wake up. To be awake now means that I am not struggling trying to do everything on my own. It means not trying to find my own happiness in other people.
The waking up part is a tricky thing though. I realize now that you cannot force another person to wake up. You cannot force yourself to wake up either if you aren’t willing. There MUST be a realization that your life has to change. You can read 100 self-help books or the Bible from cover to cover. You can spend hours in therapy. You can talk to friends until you are blue in the face, and they stop picking up the phone. But until you become aware ON YOUR OWN, you will most likely keep repeating the same old dead end cycles.
“We can’t become new until we’re completely aware that we need to become new.” ~ S. Case
If you understand that sentence, you most likely hit rock bottom at some point in your life. You understand what I am talking about here. You possibly have “Holy Spirit moments” as I like to call them.
And if you do not have a clue to what all of this means, yet you long for change in your life, it is time to make a choice. It is time to give up control. It is time to give it all over to God. For He is in control anyway and when you stop fighting it, your life will become much, much easier.
I am living proof. Take a leap of faith and let it all go. Allow the light of Christ to shine blessings all over you. You only get ONE life.
“When you’re down to nothing, God is up to something.” Let Him do the work through you.
Blessings,
