Christmas Tree

image

Straight from my Instagram post this evening. I thought it might be blog worthy. 🙂

My contribution to the #christmastree pics. 🎄 My lovely old tree got lost in the rubble of my second marriage that ended 2.5 years ago. I feel like every year I’m getting a bit back to “normal.” I still have my Charlie Brown tree from when I was 5 yrs old plus this $15 Dollar General store addition that holds only about 1/4 of my ornaments. But you know what?  It’s all I need!!! As I was putting it together I was thinking about all the people in the world who don’t have a tree. Who don’t have decorations. Who won’t receive any gifts. Who don’t have anyone to spend Christmas with. I wish I could share my humble little tree with all of them. And the red “tree skirt” that came directly off the spare bathroom towel rack ❤️😉😂🎅🎄 Holidays can be difficult for many. Let’s remember that when we see people at school, work or on the street. A simple smile can let them know they are loved even at this time of year that seems to exclude the lonely, lost and broken. The birth of Jesus Christ is what we are celebrating and by sharing that message we allow God to love others through us. 🌟

Blessings,
